SOS Share on Sunday

Share on Sunday, what have you girls been up to this week?
What do you have to share with us all this Sunday?

Last week, I had a last minuet invite to a cake decorating class in Forres. It was a most enjoyable afternoon
covered in butter icing and playing with fondant. We decorated 6 cup cakes and the did not last long once we got home.

With the rest of the girls also excited to play some more, there have been an upturn in sales at the supermarket baking isle.

So over on Pintrest , what did I pin this week......

Buttercreams make the tastiest cup cakes.

I must admit, I am a butter cream girl and there are some wonderful flavour combinations out there. I wanted to make a rose on Sunday and I did, but I would have liked to practice a lot more.

Now fondant make the prettiest cup cakes

Now this vintage set is one of my all time favourites and if you read this blog you know that these are
home grown, have a look here

Now I could go on and on as there so many amazing cakes out there, who thinks them up!
Even Google images "cupcakes" and your mouth will be watering.

What you got this weekend?
Come on and share.

Hi sugar friends.
Today I (Marianne) want to show you a card with one of the beautiful girls from the ”Country Cousins” collection. This stamp is called “Cassie`s Rendezvous”, and you can buy it over at Funky Kits.

This image gives me a spring feeling, and rally I need that with all the rain we have here in Norway these days. I have colored the image with my Promarkers, and decorated the card with flowers, swirls and pearls.

I have made the flowers with Spellbinder dieses in different sizes, twisted the petals a little, and used some Distress Ink – Vintage Photo on the edges.

I hope you liked my card, and don`t forget to do some shopping over at Funky Kits this week:)
I wish you all a wonderful weekend.
Hugs, Marianne:)

Sweet Sugar

Good Morning to you all :)

I hope today finds you all happy, well and ready to get a little inky? The weather in the UK has been horrible these past couple of days...very windy, heavy rain and really dark skies, not fit weather to go out in at all! Best to stop indoors and craft :)

Today I have some gorgeous cards to show you, picked from entries into the current Sugar Bowl challenge.

Isn't this just delicious? It's a pennant made by Heike using the Simply Sassy image Carnival Balloon.

A gorgeous card from Susan using the Gorgeous Girls stamp Little Star.

And a beautiful card off Shirley....yes, she knows how much I love these images and Hello Little Friend is another of my favourites :)

There is still almost a week left to get your entry in to the challenge...and I'd love to see you join in with us.

Now before I go I'll give you a little heads up...pop back here tomorrow and read some VERY nice news!!

Thanks for looking
Love Elaine xx

A sweet little note...

Good Morning Sweet Sugar Addicts! Jane here today with a little card I made with the very sweet 'Sent with love' Gorgeous girl stamp which is available here from Funky kits. I coloured her in with my Promarkers to match these very pretty ' Fine and Sunny' Kaisercraft papers. I layered the papers onto pink card and sewed around the edges before adding them to kraft card.

I wrapped ribbon around my base layer before adding it to the card and then added the circle topper on top with foam pads. I added a die cut sentiment topped with a little heart button before adding my image which I had cut out on top.

Here is a close up of my coloured image. I love her sweet little dress and boots and she is so lovely to colour in. I added a cluster of flowers from my stash as a finishing touch and a couple of little gems.
Have a lovely Wednesday!
Jane

Happy Monday, Sugar lovers! Pat Frank here with another new Sugar Nellie card! This one is a commission card for a friend's 16 year-old daughter...she requested ORANGE! Hmmmm...a tough one for me, because I'm not an orange person! Well, except I like oranges to eat...they're delicious! hehe! But the color orange, not so much! So, here's what I came up with...hope she likes it!

This cute Sugar Nellie stamp is called "Butterfly Girl," and she's one of the "Simply Sassy" stamps sold at Funky Kits. Uh oh...I couldn't find her in the store just now, so she must be out of stock at the moment...aacck! Sorry about that...but do check out the rest of Krista Smith's creations in rubber available HERE at Funky Kits. Would you like a peek at the inside?

The image was colored with Copics and Prismacolor pencils...and the DPs are from Bo Bunny's "Country Garden" collection. If you'd like more info on this card as well as a peek at a few more photos, please pop on over to my blog HERE...I always love company!

And...that's it for me. Have a great week! Hugs...until next time!

SOS Share on Sunday

How has your week been? Anyone get any crafting done this week? Any of you manage to find the time to do our challenges? FB (SUGARNELLIE) and the Sugar Bowl both run challenges for your creative enjoyment. If you love the sweet stuff as much as we do I am sure you already know about both those.

SO it's Sunday again, where does the weeks go. At home the lambing is finished and Debbie has returned to Glasgow to do her last few exams before coming home for the wedding, less than 100 days and my girl will be off around the world to start a new life. eeeeekkkkkk

So it's time to think about what I am going to wear........

trousers or dress

long or short

On choice made, it will not be long, that's far to fancy for a Scottish wedding.
Second choice, I need a cardi, yes its true , I hate to have my upper arms bare.

this one from Nordstrom is nice but its very pale, the do have it in blue but only small sizes. That's that about, are there no big girls out there? And while I am on a rant, those models, Mother of the Bride, I don't think half of them are old enough to have children!

So what did you choose to wear at the last wedding? Are hats still the thing? Was there even long dresses?

Well I am no further forward with my weight loss, ain't that a surprise. It's ok, I have almost 100 days, right?

What have your chosen this week to Share on Sunday?

A Fairy Tale card

Hello Sugar addicts today it's my (Maria) turn to show you Something Sassy..
As you might know we're turning the spotlight on those cute Sassy girls that many of you know I love so much, and I enjoy any excuse to ink up one of these girls

This beautiful Simply Sassy girl is called Fairy Tale
She is colored with Copic's . The papers are from My minds Eye and the fabric behind her is a canvas scallop ribbon that I've stamped on.
Hope this has given you some inspiration to ink up your Sassy Girls and maybe there are still some Sassy girls you need in your Sugar Sweet Rubber collection ♥

Have  a Sugar Sweet Weekend
Hugs Maria Therese

I used the lovely Simply Sassy girl - Strike a Pose, you can find her HERE at FunkyKits !!
The papers I've used are form My Minds Eye - Stella Rose - Hazel, I've colored here with my Copics.

The seambinding is from The Ribbon Girl, sentiment is from Whimsy Stamps, the beautiful rosette I've got from eBay.

Copics I've used !!

This afternoon I'm leaving to Tiets, I am going to spend the night overthere, tomorrow we will have our 13th Clubday, there will be 75 women, all making a beautiful project, of course with a lot of chatter and laughing :)

Enjoy your weekend, see you all next time !!
 hugs

Swirly Girly!

Good Morning Sugar Addicts!

As it's Thursday it's my day to post here, and it's the best kinda Thursday as there's a new challenge on the Sugar Bowl. There is a fab sketch to follow and an optional theme of "Scrolls and Swirls".

Maria's sweet baby card uses the digi image Bambino.

Ali has used Cherry Pip for her beautiful card.

Ooooo Lilian...I think I'm in love! This stunning card uses the stamp Mori.

Maria's sketch is nice and straightforward with plenty of space left to add your own special touches...whether you  pile on the embellishments or leave it clean and simple.
With such a versatile sketch and a nice 'n' easy theme too I hope you will come and play along with us.

Thanks for looking.
Love Elaine xx

Little Light of Mine

Happy Wednesday sweet friends!

It's Anita here today sharing a new project for our Simply Sassy Week.  I have used the adorable ...

I just love her sweet face and I think she looks like she is missing her very best friend.

I colored her with copics and colored pencils.  I used some glitter paint on the candle flame and also her little dress ruffle.  I have used some lace, a doily, and some pearls.  I also added a leafy flourish with punched flowers.

Thank you so much for stopping by.  Be sure to stop by tomorrow because we will have another beautiful Simply Sassy to share with you.  And remember you can find all these gorgeous images over at Funky Kits.

Have a wonderful day.  Hugs, Anita

Simply Sassy tuesday

Happy tuesday everyone!
It's Kathrin here sharing a project in our Simply Sassy week.

I used the adorable Bella Bunting on my creation. She's been my first Sassy stamps I bought and I so love her. So, this is what I came up with (just click on the picture to get a larger view):

When I was looking at the stamp I got inspired to make a bunting.
Here's a close up of the middle part of the banner:

It's my twins' birthday next thursday and this will go over the door.
I cut the scalloped banner parts from craft cardstock and added a straight part from pink cardstock, sewing both of these layers together with my sewing machine.
Matching Bella's bow I stamped little hearts on the pink cardstock. I always wanted a stamp that could make heart borders and now I finally found one in a craft sale. Sorry, I don't know the brand.
The smaller banner parts to the left and right of the big one are made the same, just smaller, and I added two circles on which I placed a heart from the dark red designer's paper.
Then I needed something to go between the triangles - and I found the perfectly matching fabric. It's from Stampin'Up and it seems like I only bought it to use it here.

The coloring has been done with Copics:

Don't forget to check back for another Sassy posting!

Have a wonderful day,

****

That is such a sweet project from Kathrin, I do love to see things other than a card, you have all the supplies so why not try something different for a change.

I hope you are enjoying Simply Sassy Week, our design team are the best and most talented group of girls around, they are on the SN DT because they are the BEST, we would not offer you anything else.

Since Krista Smith illustrated out Simply Sassy range, there has been a lot of changes, Krista went on to design her own in digital stamps which have been amazingly successful. But SN still have original art in rubber for those who love to get inky.

Have you seen this mag?

Fantastic isn't it?
Did you even spot one Sugar Nellie card in there?
My plans for a online magazine have been over shadowed by the new store & wedding.
But I don't think  I could do such a great job, we just need to see more Sugar Nellie stamps in there,
especially as we have a USA base opening this Autumn.
have a great Tueaday
Karen

SIMPLY SASSY WEEK.....!

Morning all.....

Vicky here today....and all this week myself and the girls will be showcasing some of our favourite Sassy's..and today I have used the gorgeous Party Frills...isn't she just so cute.... she looks like she is waiting for her prince charming to arrive to take her to her party...bless..

and here she is..

I have used some gorgeous MME Lost & Found Papers in "Blush"...matted on some brown card and glued down using some Pinflair Photo glue...I fine this easier to use then double sided tape because you can slide the card into place...and no more wonky lines..lol...!

I have coloured her with some Flexmarker, Chalks for her cheeks and Prisma Pencils for added shading...
I have also added some stardust stickles for extra bling on her dress and bows...and around her feet...I think it looks really effective and gives it a wee lift too..:o)

and finally added some punched flowers and butterflies from a Tonic punch...some lace and a flourish too..
and if you find it hard to stick the flourishes down use a staple...stops all that sticky glue going everywhere and it looks pretty good too...!

for more details please click here

So do pop over all week...see the rest of the girls amazing creations....they are just so gorgeous :o)

So thanks for stopping by and I hope you all have a lovely day too...

big hugs Vicky xx
